Summer RoboColumbus Camp

IUPUC, Purdue University College of Technology, and the Center for Teaching and Learning will host the Kids ROBOColumbus Camp from Aug. 4 through 7 at IUPUC.

ROBOColumbus Camp is designed for children in grades 3 through 8. The purpose is to excite students about math, science, engineering, technology and teamwork using robotics.

Joe Fuehne, Ph.D. and associate professor of mechanical engineering technology for Purdue University College of Technology-Columbus will lead the sessions. Campers will use LEGO bricks to build a robot, attach light and touch sensors to robots, and learn how to control the robot’s movements using the sensors.

The cost is $50 per camper. Scholarships are available upon request. Camp sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 4, through Friday, Aug. 7. Snacks will be provided.
