Columbus, IN – Each year, IUPUC recognizes faculty, staff and students who exhibit excellence. More than 30 awards will be given at the 2009 Honors Convocation which begins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, in the Columbus Learning Center Lecture Hall.
Division faculty select student award winners. Staff and faculty winners are selected by a group of their peers.
“In our work we receive extrinsic rewards like paychecks, which of course are important, but in many ways the intrinsic reward of being recognized by one’s colleagues for outstanding performance is even more motivating and encouraging. This is true for faculty, staff, and students,” said Jay Howard, IUPUC interim vice chancellor and dean.
