The Bartholomew County Health Department will be offering FREE H1N1 flu shots from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, in the Student Commons of the Columbus Learning Center.
This shot clinic is open to IUPUC, Ivy Tech, and Purdue College of Technology students, faculty, and staff only.
To be eligible for one of the 900-alloted shots, individuals must be 24 years old or younger.
Individuals over the age of 24 may also be eligible for the shot if they:
• have an underlying condition (a medical condition associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza),
• serve as the caregiver of a child who is less than 6 months old, or
• serve as a first responder.
Women who are pregnant should consult their doctor for this vaccine. The health department will not give shots to pregnant women at this clinic.
