IUPUC faculty member Kate Baird, Ph.D., and IUPUC student Joel Lay recently co-wrote a paper for publication.

The paper, “Marbleizing paper from New Orleans exhibits to Indiana science fairs,” has been accepted for publication by The Hoosier Science Teacher. It is scheduled to run in the Summer 2010 edition of the quarterly publication of the Hoosier Association of Science Teachers, Inc.

The paper outlines the process of using shaving cream and food coloring to marbleize paper as a science lesson in elementary classrooms.
The Hoosier Science Teacher focuses on subjects of interest to public school science teachers.

Baird is clinical assistant professor of science education for the IU School of Education at IUPUC. Lay is a senior education major.
