Harriet Tubman Reenactment

February 9, 2010

The Center for Teaching and Learning, IUPUC, and Columbus Area Multi-Ethnic Organization will host the living history presentation "The Life and Times of Harriet Tubman."

The reenactment, by Paulette Roberts, will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 22, in the Learning Center Summerville Room.

Light refreshments will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring a lunch.

Tubman was an African-American abolitionist, humanitarian, and Union spy during the American Civil War. She escaped slavery, and in 13 missions helped rescue more than 70 slaves using safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.
