IUPUC Students and Purdue College of Technology Assistant recognized by Army

Columbus, IN – IUPUC Students Brandi Burke Kammel, Cynthia Scott, and Student Veteran & Military Association advisor and Purdue College of Technology assistant Julia Carson recently received a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Army Freedom Team Salute.

The recipients were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the United States Army. Along with the certificates, they received an Army lapel pin, which symbolizes the partnership between the Army, its soldiers, their families, and communities.

Kammel, Scott, and Carson are part of the Student Veteran & Military Association (SVMA) which serves as an outreach group for veterans from IUPUC, Purdue College of Technology, and Ivy Tech Columbus.

Kammel is a student in the IU MBA Columbus program. Scott is a student earning an IUPUC degree in General Studies as well as part–time Administrative Secretary in the IUPUC Office of Registrar Services. Carson is the SVMA Advisor and Purdue College of Technology Assistant.
