Information Session on MBA Program to be Held on November 1

Looking for a competitive career advantage? Discover a part-time, 24-month Indiana University Master of Business Administration (MBA) program that is designed to meet the busy schedules of working adults.

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) will host a free, informal MBA information session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1. The session will be held in Room CC 170 of the IUPUC building.

"Given today’s extremely competitive employment market, upgrading one’s professional credentials has never been more important ," explains Michael J. Oakes, director of the MBA program and senior lecturer in finance. "For those seeking career advancement and growth, earning an Indiana University MBA is a great way to become more marketable and increase their employment options."

An undergraduate Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in any academic discipline is required for admission to the program. MBA students at IUPUC take classes two nights each week and complete the degree in 24 months.

Content is organized into six integrated, thematic modules that is closely aligned with how business is conducted. This multidisciplinary instructional method helps students engage in cross-functional thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Next May, MBA students will have an opportunity to study abroad with an optional trip to Turkey. "The study seminar is one way we are broadening the global business focus of the program," Oakes added.

The information session gives prospective graduate students an opportunity to learn about IU’s affordable, convenient MBA program in Columbus. Faculty from the Division of Business as well as current MBA students will be on hand to network with attendees and answer questions about the program, its curriculum, and the entrance requirements.
