Brenda Vogel Appointed New Director of Development

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) is pleased to  announce the appointment of Brenda Vogel as the university’s new director of development.

Vogel, who began her new role on August 24, is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and managing all fundraising initiatives for IUPUC. She will also be responsible for community outreach.

Previous positions held by Vogel include development associate at Columbus Regional Hospital (CRH) Foundation and executive director of development for Ivy Tech Foundation Columbus/Franklin.

In her five years at CRH Foundation, Vogel was instrumental in raising over $2 million through annual and employee campaigns and through the annual Volunteers in Medicine Reverse Raffle. While at Ivy Tech, Vogel helped secure over $6 million in planned and land gifts. She also raised over $1 million for Ivy Tech scholarships and programs.

Vogel holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing/management from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Along with her husband, James, Vogel has lived in Columbus for 16 years, raising a family of three children. She is active in the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church music ministry, Columbus Service League, and Tipton Lakes Board of Directors. Vogel is a past two-term board member of Leadership Bartholomew County.
