Alumni and public invited to second annual Homecoming Week activities

January 30, 2015

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) will hold its second annual Homecoming Week with an array of activities, several of which are open to the public. Alumni and former IUPUC students as well as high school students, parents, and local residents are invited to attend.

IUPUC’s Homecoming 2015: Unleash the Pride will be held Feb. 19-21. Public activities include an evening featuring nationally recognized comedians, a homecoming brunch featuring alumni panelist, and a Saturday evening basketball game with the crowning of a Homecoming King & Queen during half-time.

An annual tradition at many universities, colleges, and high schools across the U.S., it will be the second homecoming event in IUPUC’s 44-year history, said Kaleb Briscoe, assistant director of student involvement.

“IUPUC Homecoming is an opportunity to support IUPUC and show school spirit,” Briscoe explained. “Homecoming is a fun and engaging event that gives the entire university an opportunity to build enthusiasm and momentum. Student organizations are also encouraged to participate in homecoming activities through a spirit competition.”
