Naomi Cohenour to assume role of executive director of the Office of Administration and Finance at IUPUC

Naomi J. Cohenour has been appointed executive director of the Office of Administration and Finance at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC).

Cohenour, who will assume her new role March 16, is responsible for managing IUPUC’s fiscal affairs to ensure the proper assessment, collection, depositing, and distribution of all campus income.  She will provide budgetary direction and support to all campus units and ensure that budget controls are in place and all academic divisions and campus offices are in compliance.  In addition, she will provide oversight for IUPUC administrative offices, including Facility Services, Finance, Personnel Administration, Security, parking services, special events, and the Café.  As a senior administrator, Naomi will be an integral part of IUPUC’s strategic planning.  She will also serve as IUPUC’s representative for certain internal and external constituents and provide leadership in the development of programs, facilities, and entrepreneurial activities.

Cohenour has been with Indiana University for 16 years. Prior to her appointment at IUPUC, she has held roles as the Senior Financial Analyst/RC Fiscal Officer in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) at IU Bloomington and Fiscal Officer and Department Manager for the Bloomington campus and the IU-Center for Art and Design in Columbus.

Cohenour holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of Business at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.  She has also earned a Technical Certificate in Office Administration, Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration with a concentration in software, and a Certificate in Religious Studies.
