IUPUC names Natalie Edwards Employee of the Month for April 2015

April 1, 2015

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) has named Natalie Edwards Employee of the Month for April 2015.

In an effort to distinguish staff members who go above and beyond the call of duty in serving IUPUC, Division Heads and Directors make nominations for this monthly recognition.

"Natalie is an excellent advisor.  She stepped in as the first advisor assigned to the Division of Liberal Arts and made it look very easy,” says George Towers, head of the Division of Liberal Arts.  “She brings an ideal combination of institutional expertise, interpersonal skill, initiative, and attention to detail to her work.  Moreover, she really cares about her students and their success.  I have had many colleagues remark on what a wonderful difference she has made.  She is also an excellent colleague who all of us greatly enjoy working with.  I know I speak for the entire Division of Liberal Arts when I say that we are very lucky to have Natalie."

Natalie Edwards is the Academic Advisor for the Division of Liberal Arts. Edwards joined IUPUC in April 2014 with over ten years of higher education experience. Having spent the last three years as an advisor in IUPUI’s School of Informatics and Computing, she brought with her an invaluable expertise with the complicated academic interfaces between IU, IUPUI, and IUPUC. Prior to IUPUI, Natalie worked as an advisor and recruiter for Anderson University.  She earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration from Indiana Tech. Natalie, her husband Jason, and daughter Reese live in Columbus.

Congratulations, Natalie for this special recognition.
