IUPUC programs experience growth

October 5, 2015

Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) welcomed its newest freshman class last month bringing total undergraduate enrollment for the fall 2015 semester to 1703 students.

Across the eight academic divisions for the campus, three divisions achieved their highest level of program enrollment.

  • Business: 324 students
  • Liberal Arts: 102 students
  • Mechanical Engineering: 32 students

Additionally, the number of students attending on a full-time basis continues to rise year after year. This is significant to degree completion as the data show that students who complete 15 credit hours each semester are more likely to complete their degrees. The majority of all bachelor degrees require 120 credits to complete. Therefore, a student should complete 30 credit hours each academic year, or 15 credit hours each semester, to complete a bachelor’s degree in four years.
