IUPUC Office of Development and External Affairs to host the 2015 Scholarship Luncheon

October 20, 2015

Scholarship donors and recipients will attend the 2015 IUPUC Scholarship Luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the Columbus Learning Center. This event provides an opportunity for recipients to meet the donors who fund their scholarships and personally thank them for their generosity. It also allows donors to hear firsthand from students about the ways in which their contributions change lives. Some twenty-five scholarships are funded by donors totaling more than $20,000 for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Brenda Vogel, Director of the Office of Development and External Affairs had this to say, “The impact of donor-funded scholarships is profound. Many of our students work full- or part-time and the donor dollars are significant in enabling them keep student loan debt to a minimum. More importantly, when local donors help to fund higher education for local students, it is a sound investment in our community, assisting to develop the next generation of leaders.” The annual luncheon is hosted by the Office of Development and External Affairs.
