Finalists selected for IUPUC vice chancellor and dean begin campus visits next week

Campus visits begin next week for vice chancellor and dean candidates.

Finalists in the search for a new vice chancellor and dean at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) will visit the Columbus campus next week to meet with campus groups. The search committee, chaired by the interim vice chancellor and dean, Dr. Larry Richards, has identified three finalists who will meet with faculty, staff, students and community members.

The finalists and their visit dates are:

·  Michael Ego, Ph.D., Feb. 22 -- Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and served as Associate Vice Provost at University of Connecticut, Stamford Campus.

The campus invites students, faculty, staff and the community to attend the Community Forum/ Reception in the Columbus Learning Center, Student Commons from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

·  Reinhold Hill, Ph.D., Feb. 25 -- Dean and Professor of English, College of Arts and Sciences, Governors State University, Illinois. 

The campus invites students, faculty, staff and the community to attend the Community Forum/ Reception in the Columbus Learning Center, Summerville Room from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

·  Michael Monticino, Ph.D., Feb. 29 -- Professor of Mathematics and served as Vice President for Advancement, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Dean of the Toulouse Graduate School, University of North Texas.

The campus invites students, faculty, staff and the community to attend the Community Forum/ Reception in the Columbus Learning Center, Student Commons from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Following the finalists’ visits to campus, the search committee will make further recommendations to IUPUI Interim Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Kathy Johnson and Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar, who will make the final selection.
