Debbie Judge awarded 2016 Speaking of Women’s Health Honoree

Associate Professor, Debbie Judge from the IU School of Nursing IUPUC was named 2016 Speaking of Women’s Health Honoree in Madison Indiana.

Debbie is known throughout the community for her vital work with the Ruth Haven House, the local home for women in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Ruth Haven is a program of Jefferson County, IN that operates as Transitional Services, Inc. (JCTSI).

JCTSI is a residential program for women in recovery from alcohol or substance abuse which houses up to nine women as they transition back into society. At Ruth Haven, residents learn responsibility for maintaining personal sobriety and the necessary living skills that enable them to become increasingly independent.

The IUPUC Director of Development and External Affairs, Brenda Vogel shares about Judge, “Debbie truly embodies the spirit of Speaking of Women’s Health motto to Be Strong, Be Healthy, Be in Charge, and has devoted her life to helping people make positive changes in their lives.”
