SPARK Columbus: Upland Brewing

The Center for Business and Economic Development (CBED) at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) is partnering with the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and Jackson County Bank to host SPARK Columbus, a networking event for entrepreneurs, inventors, small business owners, community leaders, young professionals, students, and others interested in start-up and business ventures.

This event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 at Upland Brewing Co. located at the historic Columbus Pump House downtown on the river (148 Lindsay St. Columbus, IN) with special guest Doug Dayhoff.

Dayhoff is the president of the Upland Brewing Company, which operates two breweries and four retail brewpubs. During his career, he has worked with several successful entrepreneurial teams in high growth businesses, raising over $35 million in venture capital and completing transactions totaling more than $150 million. He is also a director of the Sycamore Land Trust, Bloomington Hospital Foundation, and IU’s Hutton Honors College Alumni Board. Doug graduated with a degree in philosophy from Indiana University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He and his wife have two sons and reside on an old farm outside of Bloomington, Indiana.
