Scholarship donors celebrated at the 2016 Scholarship Luncheon

October 24, 2016

Scholarship donors and recipients attended the 2016 IUPUC Scholarship Luncheon on Tuesday, October 25 at the Columbus Learning Center. This event provided an opportunity for recipients to meet the donors who fund their scholarships and personally thank them for their generosity. It also allows donors to hear firsthand from students about the ways in which their contributions change lives. Some twenty-six scholarships are funded by donors totaling more than $25,000 for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Brenda Vogel, Director of the Office of Development and External Affairs, had this to say, “The impact of donor-funded scholarships is profound. Many of our students work full- or part-time and the donor dollars are significant in enabling them keep student loan debt to a minimum. More importantly, when local donors help to fund higher education for local students, it is a sound investment in our community, assisting to develop the next generation of leaders.” The annual luncheon is hosted by the IUPUC Office of Development and External Affairs.
