J.D. Mendez and two chemistry students, Jessica Caldwell and Karen Smiar, co-presented a poster and talk at the American Chemical Society meeting in San Francisco. Jessica presented a chemistry poster; Karen and J.D. gave a talk. Both students received funds from OSR and the Baird Family Travel grant to present their work.

Kevin Jones, Associate Professor of Management recently participated in the 2017 Ethisphere Global Ethics Summit in New York City. Attendees included Corporate Ethics Officers and Compliance Leaders from across the globe. His question: How do we determine the ethics of a bi-polar company? (A bi-polar company does good works but sells a product that harms people).

PUBLICATIONS

Leigh Britt, MEd   

Leigh Britt is the Indiana Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) State Math Test Chair. In this position, she coordinated the writing of five exams (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and Comprehensive Exams) and communicated with host site coordinators throughout the state. Certificates of achievement, as well as awards, will be given to middle and high school students in the state in June during a ceremony in Indianapolis.   The ICTM State Math contest takes place April 22, 2017.

Rodney Lynch, PhD   

Dr. Rodney Lynch wrote the Geometry exam for the upcoming Indiana Council of Teacher of Mathematics (ICTM) State Math Contest. Indiana middle school and high school students will compete on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at several host site locations.  Certificates of achievement, as well as awards, will be presented in June during a ceremony in Indianapolis.
