Welcome Week at IUPUC is a time-honored tradition that involves a flurry of activities centered on students returning to campus and new students.

IUPUC will welcome new and returning students to the beginning of this 2017 academic year by providing an opportunity to view a rare celestial event. The kick-off begins with an alignment of the Sun and the Moon providing students a front row seat to a rare total solar eclipse.  This once in a lifetime viewing event will take place on the IUPUC back lawn between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. on August 21.

For the student’s safety, viewing glasses will be distributed, and trivia facts, snacks, and bottled water will be available. Attendees are encouraged to stay safe by bringing and wearing sunscreen.
