IUPUC students participate in the 2017 Ethnic Expo Parade

On Saturday, Oct. 14, Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) students represented their campus with pride and enthusiasm at the 2017 Ethnic Expo parade. Additionally, IUPUC students, distributed over 140 pounds of candy to children watching the parade.

The dean of students, Dr. Sandra Miles shares, “IUPUC continues to appreciate opportunities to join the City of Columbus in celebrations of diversity that the Ethnic Expo parade and other activities provide. Now more than ever it is our responsibility to demonstrate our commitment to developing students who will be engaged global citizens and participation in community events such as this is a great first step.”

A provided IUPUC declaration read by the announcers at the Ethnic Expo Judges stand stated: “An IU education gives students the knowledge, skills, and adaptability to succeed in life. At IUPUC, we believe that everyone deserves a quality education, an education that leads to success anywhere in the world.”
