Vicki Kruse has been an integral part of the Division of Liberal Arts for the past fifteen years. Hired as the division’s first Administrative Assistant in 2004, she was promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant in 2007. “I am honored to receive the IUPUC Employee of the Quarter award.  Everyone at IUPUC is amazing to work with and always willing to help each other and students succeed.”

Her nominator had this to say about Vicki: “Vicki is highly respected by everyone at IUPUC for her professional excellence and her personal character. Throughout the year, she is that essential person behind the scenes who solves problems, maintains important records, answers questions, looks out for her colleagues, and builds morale. She is a deserving candidate for this award in every quarter every year.”

Vicki has been an active member of the Staff Council since 2007. Her accomplishments through the Staff Council include being elected Vice-President in 2007, Interim President in 2008, she was a chair for the social committee, and she served on the fundraising committee which raises money for scholarships and community outreach projects. In 2015, she was awarded the C.W. Coons Distinguished Service Award.

Vicki is an Ohio-native who moved to Columbus in 1995. She and her husband have two kids and one grandson. Outside of work, Vicki and her husband Dan enjoy traveling, cooking, attending Colts games, and spending time with their new grandson, Myles.
