Over the course of a 30-year college teaching career with multiple colleges, I have continually sought ways to advance teaching practices for optimum student learning. I have taught a range of students including graduate, four-year, and community college students. With an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Organizational Communication, and a doctorate in Adult Continuing Education, I have applied my education and career experience to help prepare hundreds of students for scholarship and careers.

 

I currently serve as an Associate Professor of Management in the Division of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus. Named as the outstanding faculty in Division of Business in 2015, 2017, and 2018, I pride myself on delivering a memorable learning experience for students. As a member of the Indiana University Learning Technology Steering Committee, I participate in providing faculty perspectives on innovative teaching technologies at IU. Named as an IU Mosaic Fellow in 2017, I work to support campus-wide initiatives to create learning spaces and teaching pedagogies that engage students in active learning. Among my scholarly work, I have published two SOTL teaching articles focused on effective teaching practices and have presented at multiple conferences on teaching and learning.
