The IU MBA Columbus program held its annual Etiquette Dinner and Awards Ceremony at Harrison Lake Country Club on Wednesday, June 9, 2022, culminating the IU MBA Columbus program for the graduating cohort.

Guided by etiquette consultant Mary Starvaggi from The Etiquette Advantage, the dinner is designed to enhance professional development and communication skills, while continuing the partnership between IUPUC and Columbus.

The evening also includes an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding MBA student and faculty achievements, and honor valuable community partners who contribute to the educational success.

This year’s award winners include:

Outstanding MBA Faculty:  Kevin Jones (Bloomington, IN)
This award recognizes an MBA instructor who has played an instrumental and memorable role in contributing to knowledge and skills development for graduating cohort.

Community Partner Award: Melissa Fairbanks (Columbus, IN)
This award makes public our appreciation for exceptional support of, and contribution to, the vision of graduate business education that drives IU MBA Columbus.

MBA Culture Award: Katarine Guimaraes (Columbus, IN)
This award recognizes a student in each graduating cohort who best exemplifies the vision of the culture we aim to develop and sustain for the IU MBA Columbus program.

Georgia B. Miller Award: Charity Phillips (Columbus, IN)
This award was created to gratefully acknowledge the service and accomplishments of former Division of Business Head Dr. Georgia Miller upon her retirement, to further Indiana University's mission, and to encourage others to give to Indiana University.

Outstanding MBA Student: Bruna Bento and Sarah Hawes (both from Columbus, IN)
This award recognizes a student in each graduating cohort who combines academic excellence with the general management and leadership qualities we aim for as the practical results of obtaining an MBA.
