IUPUC invites area soccer players to participate in its first-ever ID camp on February 25, 2023, at the BCSC Soccer Complex in Columbus.

This event is geared for high school juniors and seniors and college students interested in playing soccer for IUPUC. Led by Crimson Pride coaches and staff, participants can expect both a skills camp and a chance to learn about IUPUC’s men’s and women’s soccer teams, which will kick of their inaugural seasons this fall.

“This is a great chance for prospective players to come out, meet our coaches, check out the campus and athletics facilities, and run some drills. We are excited about expanding our athletics program to include men’s and women’s soccer,” said Zach McClellan, Athletic Director at IUPUC.

Athletes can expect footwork drills, skills practice, strategy and teamwork exercises, in addition to a Q&A session. Activities are expected to start at 8:30 a.m. and wrap up around 1 p.m.

For more information and to register, go to go.iupuc.edu/feb-soccer-camp. The cost is $40 per athlete.

The BCSC Soccer Complex, 1585 Poshard Dr. in Columbus, is also where the Crimson Pride will host its home soccer games.

If a student is interested in IUPUC soccer but can’t attend the camp, they’re encouraged to reach out directly to the coaches:

  • Men’s Soccer Coach Tyler Joy-Brandon at tjoybran@iu.edu
  • Women’s Soccer Coach Jason Gough at jrgough@iu.edu

IUPUC is making its debut in intercollegiate athletics during the 2022-2023 academic year, participating as an Associate Member of the NAIA under the Crimson Pride banner. Beginning in the fall of 2023, IUPUC will be participating as a member of the River States Conference (RSC), pending full membership in the NAIA being granted to IUPUC next spring. In addition to men’s and women’s soccer, IUPUC offers volleyball, softball, baseball, and men’s and women’s cross country.
