The Indiana University MBA Columbus program is pleased to announce Jeanine Scheidler as its new Director of Enrollment and Learning. Scheidler will be responsible for recruitment and community relations, including partnering with local businesses and chambers of commerce. She will also help with ongoing curriculum development and desired learning outcomes.

With more than 30 years of professional experience in banking and financial institutions, Scheidler currently serves as Market President at Old National Bank. She plans to continue that role, in addition to her new responsibilities with IU MBA Columbus. Scheidler earned her bachelor’s degree in business with concentration in finance from Indiana University Division of Business at IUPUC in 2017 and completed the IU MBA Columbus program in 2020. She also serves as President of the Indiana University Alumni Association South Central Region, and she teaches corporate finance and banking courses for the Indiana University Division of Business at IUPUC.

“The IU MBA Columbus program welcomes professionals in all industries who are looking to improve themselves,” she said. “Just to name a few, we’ve had successful graduates in engineering, health care, financial professionals like me, and entrepreneurs who’ve gained so much from the program.”

In 2020, the faculty of the IU Division of Business redesigned their MBA program, making it 36 credit hours so that it can be completed in just 21 months. It also moved to a hybrid instruction format, giving students greater flexibility to manage school, work, and family commitments.

“Combining remote learning with in-person learning gives us the best of both worlds; it’s convenient but also helps build a tight-knit cohort of learners,” Scheidler said. She added that, personally, she’s still close with seven members of her MBA graduating cohort, from all different walks of life, and they continue to support one another well after graduation.

From a curriculum standpoint, the MBA program has updated its focus to include more data analytics, marketing, and supply chain management coursework to address the needs of today’s businesses. The program also added emphasis on emotional intelligence, personal branding, and undergrad student mentoring.

In addition, IU MBA Columbus students can tailor the program for in-depth study of a specific area of interest. Pathway options include: human resources management, innovation, franchising, accounting, finance, health science, strategic management, marketing, and supply chain management.

Scheidler noted that there are still seats available for the fall 2023 cohort, and IUPUC is currently waiving the application fee. The deadline to apply is Aug. 1. Those interested in the program can visit iupuc.edu/mba for more information and to apply.
